Finance Director

The current incumbent is expected to retire within the next 12 months and a replacement is being sought, reporting to the Finance Director initially, but eventually the Group CFO, to progressively take over to day to day running of the internal & external finance activities of the group.

The Finance department is currently organized on a product basis with dedicated teams -responsible short term, medium term, broking and group functions. Alongside the usual finance operations there is a large amount of treasury operations which necessitate a close working relationship with the business.

The finance team works closely with Director, Funding Solutions, and the lending and servicing teams.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

  • Board reporting.
  • Responsible for all internal & external reporting including management accounts, statutory accounts, & regulatory reporting
  • Management of operational funding & covenants including communication with funders (working closely with Director, Funding Solutions who has responsibility for strategy and ensuring sufficient liquidity in situ)
  • Lead for future securitisations (funds flow and accounting)
  • Lead the annual budgeting process.
  • Liaison with auditors
  • Certified individual for the management of Client Money Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for the production of required data & accounting records to support future securitizations.
  • Financial control, taxation and payroll.
  • Development of team

Skills & Competencies

  • Pass internal competency tests post induction.

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Ideally exposure to the securitization of a RMBS portfolio
  • Management & development of a team of qualified and part qualified accountants
  • Financial services
