Second Charge Administrator

This role will be responsible for supporting the second charge mortgage underwriters and when required advisers in the administration of second charge mortgages, consumer buy to lets and buy to let cases. This role is key to ensuring EFL services it customers effectively, with clear and accurate communication, ensuring an efficient and clear customer journey takes place, specifically involving correctly submitting mortgage illustrations, application paperwork and ensuring the CRM is maintained and up to date with the activities undertaken by the administrators and answering and dealing with queries from brokers and customers.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

  • Working with advisers, underwriters, and clients to get client applications through a process to completion
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, keeping them up to date with their cases promptly
  • Ensuring that all documentation is correct and compliant
  • Maintaining the client management systems, files and reports.
  • Submitting the necessary supporting information to the lender to support the application
  • Provide key information to underwriters, Underwriting Team Leader and senior managers as required
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements
  • Adhere to DPA requirements
  • Keep abreast of all process and procedural changes
  • Using all systems appropriately and compliantly that requested to be used by the business
  • Deal with customer queries or complaints timely
  • Keep up to date on lender criteria, knowledge of seconds, CBTL’s, BTL’s and regulation
  • Pass annual assessments and tests

Skills & Competencies

  • Pass internal competency tests post induction
  • Experience in mortgages preferred

  • Good communication skills essential for dealing with brokers, borrowers and lenders
