Reporting Developer

As a talented Reporting Developer you will join our internal Reporting and BI team in order to develop and enhance our star schema data warehouse and Business Objects reporting.

The reporting team is a centralised reporting resource which serves all areas of our group and external parties (clients, regulatory bodies, auditors etc.), operational reporting to help the team leaders effectively manage their workloads and key analytics to drive critical decision in the senior management team.

As a member of this team you will develop a deep understanding of all areas of the business as you add value by using your expertise and experience to help your customers answer their business questions through the delivery of creative and clear report presentation.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain our SQL star schemas
  • Develop sophisticated and complex reports in support of business user requirements
  • Test & cross validate reports for accuracy and integrity
  • Monitor and develop BO Data Services ETL jobs to maintain enterprise data warehouse.
  • Suggest enhancements and value add to MI reports.
  • Develop effective reports using Business Objects that summarise information and provide the business with actionable data driven insights.
  • Validate data and master data to ensure accuracy. Help improve processes to facilitate.
  • Produce and support periodic reporting for the business.

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Good understanding of the design and creation of SQL star schema databases.
  • Strong SQL skills and highly proficient with MS SQL and MySQL
  • Experience with Business Objects, SQL Server Reporting Services and Power BI
  • Demonstrable experience developing ETL processes from multiple data sources / types
  • Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Excellent data modelling skills
